Wesley James, aia

As an architect, builder and developer, Wes has founded and operated companies that set themselves apart through immersive design and place-making. Wes has been featured on a Discovery Channel series that showcases turning small businesses around using quality design and place-making. As a lifelong conservationist, he brings his professional skills to bear on the issues surrounding building working habitats within the built environment.

Dr. Norman Douglas

Founding botanist
 

Norm has studied the biology of desert plants for nearly 25 years, both in the United States and Mexico, but he’s especially interested in science communication and botanical outreach. He holds a PhD in Botany from Duke University and currently teaches at the University of Florida, including a field course in Desert Biodiversity.

Brian McHugh

While CFO at STARKJAMES, Brian guided operations and was instrumental in developing RFP’s. As Managing Director at MCA Financial Group, Brian has extensive experience in the areas of financial restructuring and management.  Brian graduated with an MBA from the University of Oregon.
